UP Health System – Portage Featured Photography

Showcase Your Talent and Brighten Our Walls!
We invite local photographers—amateur and professional—to submit their best work for a chance to display their photos on the walls of UP Health System – Portage. This is an opportunity to contribute to a healing and inspiring environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. We are looking for images that capture the beauty and sense of belonging in our Copper Country Community.

Eligibility

• Open to all residents of Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon Counties.
• Participants must be 18 or older (or have parental consent for minors).
• Photos must be original and taken by the submitter.

Submission Guidelines

• Format: High-resolution JPEG or PNG (minimum 300 dpi).
• Size: At least 12 inches x 18 inches (or scalable to that size for printing).
• Content: Must align with the submission theme and be appropriate for a healthcare setting (no graphic, violent, or controversial imagery).
• Edits: Light photo enhancements are allowed, but AI-generated images or extreme digital alterations are prohibited.
• Limit: Up to five submissions per person.

How to Submit

• Upload your photos: Submit via email to uphsmarketing@lifepointhealth.net with the subject line “Photography Submission” and include the following:
  1. Artist name
  2. Artist phone number and email address
  3. Include a short description of the location and inspiration behind your photo(s).

Deadline

• All entries must be submitted by May 4, 2025.

Selection & Display

• Photos will be reviewed by a panel of hospital representatives that best fit our mission of making communities healthier.
• Selected photographs will be announced via email and on social.
• Selected photos will be professionally printed and displayed with artist recognition throughout UP Health System – Portage.
• All participants will receive a “thank you” card from the hospital.

Terms & Conditions

• By entering, you grant UP Health System – Portage permission to use your submitted photos for display, promotions and marketing materials.
• Photographers retain copyright to their images but agree to allow the hospital non-exclusive rights for use.
• No monetary compensation will be provided for selected images.
