What is your role at UPHS?

I am a Supply Procurement and Distribution Clerk at UP Health System – Marquette.  

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?

I enjoy helping people and love working in the hospital environment.   

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?

A typical day for me is picking orders for all the floors and stocking all the clean supply rooms. I enjoy getting to interact with people from all across the hospital.    

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

I started in the Food and Nutrition Department and then moved into the Bulk Stores Department and have been there for almost three years now.  

What are some of the big changes you have experienced in this position?

We are constantly navigating daily operations within our team and working to support all of the departments of the hospital in the best way possible.  

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?

I enjoy hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and spending with my girlfriend, Laura, and our animals.   

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette?

I enjoy my coworkers and meeting new people every day.
