What is your role at UPHS – Marquette?
I am a second-year Resident Physician at UP Health System – Marquette.
What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?
I want to provide medical care to all who need it, without barriers. Health equity is my ultimate goal in medicine.
What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?
As a Resident Physician, I rotate every four weeks to a different service within UP Health System. Currently, I am on the Family Medicine Teaching Service in the hospital. I am also at the Family Medicine clinic seeing patients in the outpatient setting.
How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?
I have been a Resident Physician at UP Health System – Marquette for about one and a half years.
What are some of the big changes you have experienced in this position?
With the residency program, there are a lot of responsibilities involved and I’m learning new things every day. I do what I can to be the best physician I can be.
What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?
My fiance and I love to travel and enjoy new foods. Thomas Rock is our new favorite lookout spot.
What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette?
I love the people – patients, fellow staff, and the overall community.
