What is your role at UPHS – Marquette?

I am the Environmental Service Director at UPHS – Marquette.

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?

I had some good mentors who recruited me into the industry 

What's a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?

The nice thing about my position is that every day is different. Typically, I like to round on my customers to ensure their areas are well-maintained and check in with my team members to make sure they feel supported. 

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

I have been in this facility and position for three years 

What are some of the big changes you've experienced in this position?

Staffing and the introduction of new products for floor care. 

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite gem?

I love spending time with my family and doing activities together. We enjoy walking around Presque Isle and downtown and exploring the UP.

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette?

I have lived and worked all over the Midwest, including Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Chicago. The people in the Marquette area are some of the kindest and most genuine I have ever met. The team members I work with care about their community and take pride in what they do. It has been a privilege and an honor to serve a community like Marquette.
