UPHS – Bell Welcomes Amelia Sramek, DO, to Family Medicine Team

UP Health System – Bell is pleased to welcome Amelia Sramek, DO, to their Family Medicine team.
Dr. Sramek earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Michigan before receiving her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete her Family Medicine Internship and Residency at the Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, Washington. Dr. Sramek is Board-certified in Family Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine.
“I was born and raised in Marquette, MI,” Dr. Sramek said. “After 11 years serving in the U.S. Navy in three duty stations across the United States, I am excited to return home to the U.P. to be home with family, go to camp and be near Lake Superior and the snow again.”
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Sramek enjoys the outdoors and scenic views of the Upper Peninsula with her family.
“My husband and I have two young boys and we love spending time outside with them,” she said. “I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, running, biking, cooking, and being on the water.”
Dr. Sramek joins UPHS – Bell Family Medicine that is staffed with physicians that specialize in a wide range of services such as preventative care, chronic disease management, wellness visits, routine screenings, acute illnesses and injuries, and more.
“It is an honor to be able to practice family medicine and see all ages of patients, providing preventative care as well as treating acute and chronic medical problems,” Dr. Sramek said.
