UP Health System – Portage Telehealth Rheumatology Welcomes Linda Belhorn, MD

UP Health System – Portage is pleased to welcome Linda, Belhorn, MD, to the Rheumatology team. Board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine, Dr. Belhorn sees and treats patients of all ages for rheumatology services, including general rheumatology, autoimmune diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and psoriatic arthritis. Dr. Belhorn attended medical school at the University of North Carolina (UNC) in Chapel Hill, followed by her residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham. Dr. Belhorn is also fellowship trained from the University of Cincinnati, in Ohio.

A North Carolina native, Dr. Belhorn is excited to be joining the medical staff at UP Health System – Portage and providing rheumatology services via telehealth. “This is an excellent opportunity to bring telehealth rheumatology to the Upper Peninsula and I am excited to get to know my patients and the other providers at UP Health System – Portage,” said Dr. Belhorn.

Dr. Belhorn enjoys the diagnostic challenge and the wide array of treatment options that are available for rheumatologic diseases. “I enjoy treating my patients as I would my family and friends. Developing a strong working relationship is important to me so I can optimize their healthcare outcomes and provide the compassionate care they need,” said Dr. Belhorn.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and attending UNC basketball games. Walking, reading and yoga are also a few of her favorite hobbies.

Rheumatology is a new telehealth service at UP Health System – Portage and will be available at the Portage Express Care in Calumet, located at 56720 Calumet Ave.
